Time for the 5th tip on buying Wholesale Store Returns:
LOOK FOR DAMAGED GOODS. “Store Returns” can be a killer way to rake in dough. Store returns consist of items that have been purchased by a customer then returned to the store. The items may have very minor “damage”, such as a makeup spot on a collar or a loose button. Super simple fixes; use a dab of oxy clean and the top is brand new again or grab a needle and thread and affix the button. In under 2 minutes you have turned “Store Returns” into “Ready to Sells”.
But store returns can also consist of more than that. They can be completely trashed – leather purses with slashed through them from a box cutter or a boot completely missing a heel. No matter how good the deal is, you can’t resell this stuff for a penny.
If you want to get into flipping store returns, be sure that what you are buying is not “destroyed”. Companies that rely on one-shot-sales (and no repeat business) gladly dump their destroyed merchandise on you.
